The eternal conflict: Man's struggle between good and evil.

The classic scene: The angel on his shoulder, urging him to act with piety. But where is the Devil? It seems he has more important matters to attend to.

The conflict between good and evil doesn't involve angels and demons, gods and devils. It is strictly within man. It is so convenient for many to absolve themselves of the responsibility for their actions by blaming a malevolent influence, temptation by the Devil, or some other asinine rationalization.
