Icarus

I love the story of Icarus, overcome with the giddiness of flight with wings of wax and feathers, his loss of focus resulted in his death.

 I took the modern image of a tattoo style sparrow to represent Icarus, just for irony's sake. Here again I really wanted to show the beauty of watercolor, even though it is not my medium of choice. I love the textures created by variations of concentrations of pigment within the water.
