Smokey DeVille. The name means different things to different people. Artist, musician, con artist, to name a few. Some know him for his body piercing at Tomato Tattoo from 2001-2005. For others, it evokes images of his amazing fire eating and fire breathing (which he called pyromanipulation) shows. Others know DeVille for his avant garde music, with 3 cd releases distributed globally. Then there are those who know him for his artwork.

Smokey was born outside of Chicago, IL, and currently resides outside Louisville, KY. He has studied psychology, hypnotism, and NLP for a total of 17 years and counting. He first performed his pyromanipulations in 2002, and continues to do so, though nowadays he prefers to entertain his audience with his abilities in the realms of thought reading, mentalism, hypnosis, and to a lesser degree, magic.  He has performed at such Chicago venues as Glow, Vision, Marche`, and Jungle, and has appeared on After Hours Television. 

 DeVille has not slowed down. Though he retired from body piercing in 2005, he spends his time recording music (2 EP's and 1 full length album, with sales all over the US, Canada, South America, and Europe), creating art, and  amazing lucky, random people with his incredible abilities. If you've visited Chicago, in the last ten years, Smokey may have pierced you, breathed fire for you at an upscale event or maybe you have even heard his music playing in a club or at an event. Nevertheless, those who haven’t yet discovered Mr. Deville, are certainly bound to do so soon.
