After the Laughter Comes Tears

6"x6" oil on canvas

A burning match. A symbol for life itself. At some point, after all is said and done, the fire goes out. This is not a sad painting, though. Rather, merely a reminder that life does come to an end. Make the most of the life you have. Embrace it. Cherish it.

There are two kinds of strange children. Those who torture animals, and those who play with fire. I was clearly the latter.

This work belongs to the private collection of C. Welzen.
